Westwood lawn tractors are built in Britain and are specifically designed for British lawns.
Typically, the three main components of a Westwood lawn tractor are a power unit, a cutter deck and an optional powered grass collector.
This model features the T100 power unit and a 48” (122cm) XRD rear discharge cutter deck which makes it suitable for lawns of up to 3.5 acres.
The Power Unit
The Westwood T100 is constructed around a robust chassis and is powered by a reliable twin cylinder Kawasaki engine. The engine provides plenty of torque and power to cope with large lawns and the difficult cutting conditions that might be found in overgrown paddocks and orchards.
Steering is light and the operator controls are all within easy reach from the driving position. The comfortable seat featuring premium armrests is adjustable and an easy-to-read electronic dashboard keeps you informed of the critical functions of the mower.
Maximum manoeuvrability is provided by a hydrostatic drive which is controlled by twin pedals. Changing speed and direction is very easy giving you maximum control of the tractor.
A towing hitch and headlights come as standard.
The Cutter Deck
The 48” (122cm) XRD deck is a three-bladed rear discharge deck which allows you to leave the cut grass on the lawn or use the optional powered grass collector to collect the clippings.
With a lowest height of cut of just 12mm, a fine lawn finish is achievable.
The blades are engaged electronically at the push of a button and the height of cut is controlled by a lever which utilises a gearing system to ensure that very little effort is required to change the height of cut.
The Powered Grass Collector (Optional)
The optional Powered Grass Collector (PGC+) is mounted to the back of the tractor and uses a powered sweeper to sweep the grass clippings into the hopper.
Power is provided by a belt drive from the tractor and because the collector does not rely on a flow of air to collect the grass, collection performance is excellent even in wet conditions when air-blown collection systems might block. The grass collector is switched on and off at the push of a button.
In autumn, the collector can be used to gather fallen leaves from your lawn.
A range of interchangeable cassettes are available for the PGC+ allowing it to be used as a scarifier and hard surface brush as well as a grass collector.
The collector is supported by a rear roller and the roller will provide a striped finish to your lawn.
When the mowing is done, a range of attachments can be fitted to your Westwood T100 such as a powered scarifier, a powered spreader, a snow blade and any number of towable attachments.
