Husqvarna Automower 320 NERA Robotic Lawnmower

The 320 NERA has a choice of installation methods:

• A boundary wire is laid around the lawn – Installation Kit required
• Completely wireless, GPS installation with virtual boundaries – EPOS™ Plug-In Kit required

There’s never any inconvenience with the 320 NERA, as it will mow at times you programme it to. You may choose for it to mow at night-time only, or during weekdays whilst you’re at work. Simply use the Automower® Connect app and programme a schedule that works for you.

It’s quiet too, producing only 58dB(A), meaning you and your neighbours wont be disturbed by your new automatic lawnmower.

A weather sensor assesses the rate of growth of the grass and adapts the cutting time accordingly. The mower is automatically guided through narrow passages to ensure that even the narrowest of grassed areas get cut and a spot mowing feature ensures that areas of longer grass are also cut. The smart technology also allows the height of cut to be adjusted electronically.

Husqvarna’s Automower® Connect App allows you to control the 320 NERA from your smartphone via Bluetooth within a 30 metre range, or cellular when upgrading to the EPOS™ plug in kit – which allows you to control your 320 NERA from anywhere. Wherever you are, you can get status updates from your mower, control start and stop functions, change menu settings and receive alarms in case of theft.

The Automower® 320 continuously works, meaning your grass hardly has time to grow before being cut again. This makes the grass less stressed by the cutting, and allows the tiny clippings to decompose back into the lawn as a natural fertiliser. This low stress cutting and recycled nutrients make for a greener and healthier lawn.

An anti-theft feature is built into the 320 NERA, sounding an audible alarm when the mower is lifted unexpectedly. If the 320 NERA is lifted, the blades come to an immediate stop to prevent injury or damage. To lift the mower without the alarm sounding, simply enter your pin code first. So, whether you’re worried about light fingers or curious little fingers, the Husqvarna 320 NERA has it covered.

The Automower® 320 NERA allows two methods of installation.

If opting for a traditional installation, a boundary wire will need to be installed around the perimeter of your lawn as well as any internal obstacles such as flower beds or ponds. The wire can either be buried or pegged to the surface, both of which will be hidden from sight. 

The boundary wire keeps the Automower® 320 NERA on your lawn. When the mower approaches the boundary it will sense the wire and turn in a random direction to continue cutting. The random cutting pattern means that all of the grass gets cut, even tight corners, and there are no wheel markings left in the lawn.

Where there are obstacles such as trees or furniture inside your lawn, the 320 NERA will cut right up to them and simply bump into them, reverse and turn away. 

Please note, if you opt for a ‘wired’ installation, an installation kit must be ordered separately to enable installation of this Automower®.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to avoid the installation of wires in your lawn, an optional EPOS™ Plug-In Kit will achieve a GPS only installation, allowing you to create virtual boundaries via the Automower® Connect app and avoid the need for a boundary wire to be laid.

The EPOS™ system uses satellites and a local reference station to achieve 2-3cm accuracy. Signals are received by the mower from both satellites and the local reference station (included as part of the EPOS™ Plug-In Kit) so the mower needs an unimpeded view of the sky and the local reference station to allow data signals and correction data to be received. Tall buildings and trees can block the signals.

Regardless of the installation method used, the Automower® 320 NERA is packed with smart technology. A GPS sensor helps to ensure all areas of the lawn are cut regularly. This is especially useful in complex gardens where the random pattern of cutting alone may not get the mower to all areas of the lawn with the same regularity.
