Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive VS Cordless Lawnmower

The Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive cordless mower offers the same power as a petrol mower without the noise and emissions of a petrol engine. It is most suited to medium sized gardens and will produce an excellent cut on both fine lawns and rougher grass areas. The cordless Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive has an 18″ (46cm) width of cut and has a two-speed drive so you don’t have to push the mower around the lawn and can vary the speed to suit the conditions.

A 2-in-1 capability allows you to cut-and-collect or cut-and-discharge, making the Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive a versatile mower. When in cutting and collecting mode, the Hayter Osprey has excellent grass collection and packs the generous 55 litre grass bag full. The grass bag can be lifted through the handlebars for easy emptying and reattachment. For rougher areas where collection is either unsuitable or not required, the clippings can simply be discharged out of the back of the mower.

The Osprey’s height of cut is adjusted with a single lever that allows you to choose from seven different cutting heights giving you plenty of range to choose from according your preference, the cutting conditions, and the type of mowing you are doing.

The Hayter Opsrey 46 Autodrive features a robust steel cutter deck that incorporates a wash port. So, when the mowing is done, cleaning underneath the mower is easy. Simply plug in the hose, switch the water on and start the mower. When it is time to put the mower away, the handles fold for easy storage.

Power is provided by Hayter’s 60 volt cordless power unit which is a serious alternative to traditional petrol engines. The battery provides clean and quiet power to a high-performance brushless DC motor.

A Power Boost feature maximises the run time from the battery by providing maximum power only when needed. Clever sensors monitor the performance of the mower and provide just enough power for the conditions thereby limiting power consumption and prolonging the battery’s run time. In tougher cutting conditions, Power Boost can be overridden with Boost-Max to provide maximum power constantly.

The battery and charger are sold separately. With a 6Ah battery, this mower is recommended for lawns of up to 500m² and can achieve a maximum coverage of over 720m².
